Urban Gardening

Growing Together began in the Summer of 2023 teaching individuals within the community the importance of planting to help bring families back together after the pandemic, to teach families how to grow fruits and vegetables to help reduce the cost of groceries, and to encourage unity.

 

In 2024 Our New Village was granted a stipend of $1500 from Southern New England Farmers of Color Collaborative. We were granted this opportunity to bring to the community Urban Gardening. Now we can educate and encourage our community members to learn and engage in Urban Gardening and offer planting starter kits.
